Welcome
Tradition
St Leonard's is classed as typical country Anglican tradition.
Services at St Leonard's take place every Sunday at 8 am for spoken Eucharist and 10.30 am for sung Eucharist. Families are welcome and there are crèche facilities for toddlers at the back of the Church with fun bags, toys and colouring sets. As a result of young families joining our church membership we are beginning Sunday School once again on Sunday January 8th 2012 after a break of a number of years.
We have strong connections with the Roman Catholic community and six times a year there is a joint service presided over by both Anglican and Roman Catholic priests. There are very few parishes where this occurs, please join us at these well attended services and be part of something very special!.
WorshipSee the Church Near You Calendar for all our services
When we hold services or events that are seasonal or patronal our priest Tim does his utmost to make them a lively and enjoyable event demonstrating that Church can be fun!
For example, at our Christmas Carol service the congregation of well over 100 were divided into four groups to sing Twelve Days of Christmas beginning seated and then standing for "your" day with everyone standing for "5 days". Rev. Tim scampered up and down the aisle to remind each group to stand for "their" day and by the end must have been exhausted!
